This photo was taken at Pt Vernon, Hervey Bay on an early Spring morning in November 2021. I had spotted the female Osprey perched in amongst the mangroves at low tide so I decided to make my way across the rocks to get as close to it as I could. At the time I was only just getting into bird photography and was hoping to get a photo of the perched Osprey taking off. I stood behind a mangrove on the wet rocks for around 45 minutes, taking a series of shots each time the Osprey moved but it rem

When driving around, keep your eyes on the road, but don't forget to keep an eye on the cloud formations, and plan to get to the best place to capture some shots at the place you anticipated to be the best spot.

I heard there was a flock of Bohemian waxwing (Bombycilla garrulus) at Howbridge Cemetery Atherton. Being a cemetery setting respect and care was taken using long lens from footpath. This bird is extremely photogenic and looks like a painting, the feathers are so fine the photos of them appear to be over edited but all I do is maybe crop and lightning.I always shoot in Raw info here Canon 7D 400mm f5.6 1/250, ISO500

I setup bird feeders at home including a hummingbird feeder. They are super active and are use to me being close to them so I grabbed my Canon R5 with my Canon 70-200mm f2.8 lens and placed myself within 8 feet from the feeder rendering great closeup shots while they feed and the late afternoon sun gives this Rufous hummingbird that beautiful glow
